유명한 배우나 운동선수들도 몸에 병들고 늙으면 그냥 버림을 받습니다.

Even famous actors and athletes are abandoned when they grow old and get sick.

그러나 복음을 전파하는 사람은 건강, 나이 관계 없습니다.

But you can preach the gospel regardless of your age or health status.

복음 전파하는 사람은 누구나 하나님이 기뻐하시고 복을 주십니다. 우리가 복음을 전파하면 구원의 역사가 일어나는 것입니다.

God delights in those who preach the gospel. God blesses those who proclaim the gospel. When we preach the gospel, those who hear can experience the work of salvation.

“아무리 좋은 옥토가 있어도 씨를 뿌려야 되잖아요. 부뚜막에 소금도 집어 넣아야  맛을

내잖아요.” 믿음은 들으면서 난다고 했습니다. 그러므로 복음은 누군가가 전해 주는 사람이 있어야 합니다.

“No matter how good the soil is, someone needs to sow seeds. Someone needs to add salt to the stove to make the food taste good.” The Bible says that faith comes from hearing. So then, someone needs to preach the gospel so that others can hear.

어떤 여집사님이 남자가 결혼하면 교회 나가겠다고 약속해서 결혼했는데 차일피일 미루면서 교회를 나가지 않았습니다.

A woman married a man because the man promised to go to church if she married him.

결혼 10주년을 앞에 두고 결혼 기념으로 내 말을 좀 들어달라 우리 교회에서 부흥회 있는데 3일 저녁만 참석 해달라. 나는 다른 선물 필요없다.

But the man kept putting it off and did not go to church. On their 10th wedding anniversary, she pleaded with her husband. She asked him to attend the 3-day revival at her church. She said she did not need any other gifts.

남편이 가만히 들어보니 괜찮단 말이예요. 그래서 그렇게 하기로 약속 했습니다. 첫 날 저녁 저 오른쪽 구석에 앉아 있습니다.

The husband liked her suggestion. So, he promised to go to the church revival. The first night, he decided to sit in the right corner.

그런데 강사 목사님이 오른쪽을 향해서 “이 죄인아, 회개하라. 인생 그렇게 살면 돼냐  예수믿고 회개하고 천국가라”이 사람 뒤에 가만히 앉아 있는데 창피해서 얼굴이 벌개졌습니다.

The guest speaker looked at the right corner of the room and said, “Repent, you sinner. Why would you live in that way? Repent, believe in Jesus, and go to heaven.

‘저 목사 날 언제 봤다고 저렇게 야단인가. 내가 무슨 죄인이라고’기분이 나빴습니다.

”When the husband heard this, he began to blush out of shame. He then thought to himself, ‘That pastor has never seen me before. Why am I a sinner?’

집에 돌아오는 길에 자동차 안에서 부인에게 따졌습니다. “아니 그 목사 날 언제 봤다고 죄인

이라고하더라, 나, 그런 교회 안간다.”

On the way home, he yelled at his wife in the car, “That pastor has never seen me before. Why would he call me a sinner? I am not going to church.

부인이 지혜롭게 변명해 주었습니다. “여보 당신보고 목사님이 죄인이라고 한것이 아니고 우리 모두 보고 한 말씀이니 편하게 들으라고 했습니다.” 부인이 하는 말을 듣고 보니 이해 됐습니다.

His wife explained to him with wisdom, “Honey, the pastor was not pointing his finger at you. He meant that we are all sinners.” The husband understood.

둘쨋 날 저녁에는 왼쪽 구석에 와서 앉아 있는데 그날 저녁에는 “오른쪽에 앉은 양 같은 의인들아, 왼쪽에 앉은 염소새끼 같은 죄인들아, 회개하고 예수 믿으라”

On the evening of the second day, he decided to sit in the left corner. The pastor said, “God will set the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left. You sinners, repent and believe in Jesus.”

이 사람이 가만히 앉아 있노라니 기가 막힙니다. 저 목사가 우리 Wife하고 짜고 저러나 숱한 생각이 다 듭니다.

The husband sat still and became so upset. He thought to himself, ‘Did my wife talk to that pastor?’ He had all kinds of thoughts.

약속 했으니 세쨋 날 저녁에는 오른쪽도 왼쪽도 다 집어 치우고 목사 얼굴도 보기 싫다며 기둥 뒤에 가서 딱앉아 있는데 이게 왠 일입니까?

Since he made a promise, he went to church again. On the third day, he decided to sit behind the pillar in the middle of the room because he did not want to see the pastor.

“아담아 네가  어디 있느냐? 왜 거기 숨어 있느냐?” 이 사람이 깜짝 놀라 충격 받았다는 겁니다.

To his surprise, the pastor said, “Adam, where are you? Why are you hiding there?” The husband was astonished.

하나님이 살아 계시는구나  오른쪽에 앉아도 왼쪽에 앉아도 기둥 뒤에 숨어도 아시는구나.

He realized that God is really alive. Whether I go to the right or to the left or hide behind a pillar, God knows it all.

회개하고 믿음생활 잘 하며 행복하게 살았답니다.

He, then, repented and lived a happy life walking in the faith.

그렇습니다. 전도하는 것 중요해요. 누군가를 데리고 와야 됩니다. “너희는 가서 강건하여 내 집을 채우라”

That’s right. Evangelism is important. We must bring someone to church. “Go out and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled.”
