현재 지금 내가 어떤 모습으로 사느냐? 지금 내가 어떻게 하나님을 바라보며 말씀에 순종하며 신앙의 용기를 가지고 살아갈 수 있느냐, 그것이 문제입니다.

Are we looking to God? Are we obeying His word? Do we have the courage of faith to trust Him and keep moving forward?

변호사, 의사, 목사를 아버지로 둔 세 친구가 모여서 각각 자기 아버지가 돈을 얼마나 벌어 오는지를 얘기하고 있었습니다.

There is a story about three boys whose fathers were a lawyer, a doctor, and a pastor.

변호사 아들이, ‘우리 아버지는 소송이 있어 코트에 1시간 나가면 천오백 불 받는다.’

The lawyer’s son proudly said, “My dad makes $1,500 an hour when he goes to court.”

그 소리에 의사를 아버지로 둔 아들이, 우리 아버지는 1시간 수술하면 이천 불 받는다,

The doctor’s son boasted, “That’s nothing! My dad makes $2,000 an hour when he performs surgery.”

목사를 아버지로 둔 아들이 가만히 생각을 하자 자기 아버지는 별 볼 일 없단 말이예요. ‘야, 그건 아무것도 아니야. 우리 아버지는 한 20분 설교하면 수십 명이 일어나 돈을 거둬 줘.’

The pastor’s son thought for a moment and then said, “Well, that’s nothing compared to my dad. He only preaches for 20 minutes, and dozens of people stand up and start giving him money!”

그렇습니다. 힘들고 어려워도 괴롭고 답답해도 낙심하지 마세요. 무엇이 제대로 잘 안 된다고 해도 실망하거나 좌절하지 마세요.

So, do not be discouraged, no matter how hard or frustrating life gets. Even when things do not go as planned, do not despair.

신앙의 용기를 가지고 하나님의 이름을 부르며 일어서시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원합니다.

I pray in the name of Lord that you will have the courage of faith, call upon God’s name, and rise again.
